Product Lines

Books & Magazines

Our book section ranges in genres from fiction and non-fiction to cooking, psycology, preforming arts, computers, sports, mystery and romance.
We carry major authors and have access to over four million titles through the Bookmanager database.
Some customers drive up to 100kms for one of the largest magazine selections in Western Nova Scotia. Magazines in nieches such as livestock and farming to magazines written in German and French, are among the many.

New Releases

Sunlight pours in through the skylights in our front foyer as you enter the Inside Story, to be greeted by all the newly released hardcover books, hot off the press!

Children & Young Adult

We carry a wide selection of children and young adult books, as well as a small french selection. Access to a database of over four million titles is readily available for searching any title not in stock.

Office & Art Supplies

It's hard to compete with our large selection of art and office supplies, which include everything from canvas and sketchbooks, brushes, ink, pens, oil and watercolor paint, to easels, diaries, dayplanners and calenders.

Our stock includes a wide selection of quality products from suppliers like Winsor-Newton, Golden Acrylics, Lucas and Cotman.

Cards & Gifts

Rows of Hallmark cards extend through half the store's retail space, as name-brand giftware from companies like Tag and Seagull create lovely displays for every occasion.
The Inside Story is a retailer of Seagull pewter, made in Pugwash Nova Scotia.
